SENSKIN was presented at 8th European Workshop On Structural Health Monitoring (EWSHM 2016) held on 5-8th July 2016 in Bilbao, Spain. The conference was attended by more than 300 people from a fruitful range of structural engineering, inspection and maintenance, non-destructive testing etc. The variety and quality of the retained papers ensured a very stimulating event, both from a scientific and industrial applications perspectives. The paper describes the concept and principles of the SENSKIN sensing system, and its various components with attention to end-user requirements, specifications and system architecture.
