DNDI is a leading road research institute in Ukraine. The institute’s history starts from 1926 as a Kharkiv research road workstation. Nowadays DNDI consists of 18 scientific sub-divisions: departments with testing laboratories, main testing centre, agency for certification of road-building materials and road machinery, regional departments in the Poltava and Dnepropetrovsk regions and a regional scientific and technical centre in Lviv. DNDI is a basic organisation of the Ministry of Regional Development on the issues of scientific research activities. On the basis of DNDI a Technical Committee "Highways and Highway Bridges" on the Rating and Standardisation is created.
